Security Systems Small Works Engineer
You will be required to work on the supply, fit and commission of electronic security systems; IP CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control to NSI Gold Standards. The candidate must have a high degree of reliability, self-motivation and an ability to fault find and provide solutions on site. Candidates must be organised and able to submit the required paperwork in a timely manner.
40 hours p/w with overtime and on-call available
Typical Responsibilities
- To work with and under instruction from Security Administration Team Members, complying with work instructions, company policies and Health and Safety procedures
- To maintain a working knowledge of circuits and measuring devices and an understanding and respect of electrical circuits as well as undertaking training courses where necessary
- The installation and commission of new Security and associated systems as well as additions to existing systems
- Maintain an accurate and high standard of Customer, Company and Personal paperwork
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
Qualifications
- A full Electrical based qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, HNC etc
Experience
- Experience of working within the Security sector
- A working knowledge of electrical circuits & measuring devices
- Experience of installing Security and associated systems
- Familiarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety requirements
Skills / Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Competent using technology such as laptops, measuring devices, smart phones etc
- Ability to maintain accurate records whilst regularly submitting customer and company paperwork in a timely manner
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company
Other
- A thorough understanding of relevant British Standards, in particular National Security Inspectorate requirements
- A genuine interest in your work with an enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- A full and valid driving licence
