Computer Science Teacher

We’re working with a popular and successful secondary school in Shrewsbury that believes education is about more than grades on a results sheet. Academic achievement matters, of course, but so do confidence, curiosity and helping young people build skills for the future, both in and out of the classroom.

They’re now looking for a full-time Computer Science Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a school where respect, ambition and resilience shape everyday life. Students are encouraged to think big, challenge themselves and take pride in what they achieve, while staff are trusted and supported to do the same.

The role:

• Teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 • Delivering engaging lessons that bring technology and problem-solving to life • Supporting students to build confidence in coding, digital literacy and computational thinking • Contributing to a positive school culture where creativity and character matter just as much as academic success

Whether you love programming, cybersecurity, data or simply helping students discover the world of tech, the department welcomes fresh ideas and subject passion.

Why teachers like working here:

• A clear vision focused on knowledge, character and preparing students for the future • A well-resourced department with modern ICT facilities • A supportive leadership team that understands the realities of the classroom • A positive and welcoming environment where staff feel valued, trusted and listened to

They’re looking for someone who:

• Holds UK QTS • Has strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence • Builds positive relationships with students • Believes education is about opening doors and shaping futures, not just ticking boxes

Early Career Teachers are very welcome, and experienced teachers looking for a school with strong values and a genuine sense of community will feel right at home.
