Ward Clerk
Job summary
We are looking for a proactive organised and approachable ward administrator to support the smooth day to day running of our intermediate care rehabilitation ward in Halstead.
This is a varied role combining administrative duties with responsibility for maintaining a safe and well organised ward environment.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the nursing and multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective systems high standards of organisation, and a positive experience for patients and their families.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the ward team, including scanning, fling and maintaining accurate patient records on electronic systems.
Ensure documentation is processed, stored and accessible in line with organisational standards and policies
Support data collection reporting and information gathering required for audits and service monitoring
Assist in the co-ordination of ward activities, including meetings, training sessions and reviews
Monitor order and maintain appropriate levels of clinical and non-clinical stock
Ensure stock is stored safely and appropriately in line with policies and procedures.
Support stock rotation
Report faulty equipment and escalate as per policy
Assist with any non-clinical tasks that enable clinical staff to focus on patient care
Provide accurate records and information to support governance processes
Undertake mandatory training as required
Maintain an understanding of organisational policies, procedures and protocols relevant to the role
