Our Glasgow-based client is searching for a Technical Lead to guide their engineering team as they scale their backend systems and modernise their technical stack. You’ll play a crucial role in architectural decisions and support backend development while mentoring a growing team. This position is ideal for someone who balances strong technical skills with effective leadership.

What they’re looking for:

• Strong technical background in TypeScript, Next.js, Java, AWS (infrastructure as code), and microservices
• Experience with architectural decisions and backend development
• 5+ years’ experience, with prior lead/management exposure
• Approx. 40% hands-on, 60% leadership/mentoring
