Systems Specialist (Salesforce / SaaS Platform) · Hybrid UK · £45,000
Systems Specialist (Salesforce / SaaS Platform) · Hybrid UK · £45,000
We are hiring a Systems Specialist to own the technical configuration, health, and integrity of our clienteling platform across a global client base.
Proximity powers clienteling technology used by international retailers to help store teams build real customer relationships through data, messaging and AI-driven engagement.
We are expanding our Technical Services team and looking for someone to take ownership of platform configuration, health, and advanced support across our customer base.
This role suits someone with solid Salesforce administration and configuration experience who enjoys solving technical problems and takes pride in keeping systems healthy. You might currently be a Salesforce Administrator or Platform Specialist looking to broaden your scope. You understand automation, security models, and data — and you enjoy going deep on root cause rather than surface-level fixes.
It is a role with real variety and a clear path to broader technical ownership as you grow into it.
What you will do
- Support and maintain core system configuration, automation, and data modelling across customer environments
- Resolve complex Level 2 issues across automation, permissions, integrations, and data
- Monitor and maintain platform health across storage, compute, API limits, and security posture
- Oversee permission accuracy, sharing models, MFA compliance, and security-critical settings
- Manage technical change requests from scoping through to deployment
- Identify recurring problems and contribute improvements to configuration, automation, and governance
What we are looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce configuration experience covering objects, flows, automation, sharing models, and security
- At least one Salesforce certification — Administrator as a minimum, with Platform App Builder or Service Cloud Consultant preferred
- Good diagnostic ability across automation failures, permissions, and integration issues
- Experience monitoring org health, API usage, and security posture in live environments
- A clear communicator comfortable working across Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
- Experience with Apex, SOQL, CI/CD tooling, or Atlassian products is beneficial. Fluency in a second language is an advantage given the international nature of our client base.
- Experience working with or within retail businesses — whether in-store technology, ecommerce, or enterprise CRM — would be a strong advantage. Our clients are some of the world's leading luxury and fashion retailers, and an understanding of how retail teams operate makes a real difference in this role.
Requirements
- UK-based with the ability to commute to London one day per week
- Right to work in the UK
What you get
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Up to 8% pension contribution
- 10% performance bonus scheme
- Hybrid working — one day a week in our London office
Proximity is a scale-up with a live global platform, real enterprise customers, and a modern API-first architecture. AI is already embedded across workflow, insight, and engagement. People who enjoy building technical knowledge quickly, solving real problems, and growing into broader ownership tend to thrive here.
