TheBusiness Change Facilitatorwillbe responsibleforimplementingchange management within the Digital Health Protection programme (DHP) delivery.The role provideschange planning and delivery support forthe programme to deliversignificant changeand benefits tothe people of Wales.

You will act with autonomytosupport the embedding and delivery of change across all business areas of the programme with impact across the organisation.The role requires strong collaboration with clinical, operational, and national partners, ensuring that initiatives are co-designed, embedded effectively, and deliver long-term benefits.

Main duties of the job

TheBusiness Change Facilitatorwillbe responsibleforimplementingchange management within the Digital Health Protection programme (DHP) delivery.The role provideschange planning and delivery support forthe programme to deliversignificant changeand benefits tothe people of Wales.

Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, theBusiness Change Facilitatorensures that programmes are well-embedded,and userscantransition through the delivered change. They manage complex programme interdependencies, lead businessplanningandbenefits delivery.

A key part of the role issupporting business change,trainingand onboarding of users to the Digital Health protection service. Ensuring digital solutions are embedded in ways that support long-term service sustainability.

Job responsibilities

Operating at the interface betweendigital, serviceand businessdelivery, theBusiness Change Facilitatorensures that programmes are aligned with national and organisational priorities, meet assurance requirements, and deliver value. The role demandsoperationaloversight.

Planning and Design

  • Supportplanand lead co-ordination on businesschangerequirementsincludingeLearningandface-to-facetrainingwithclinicalandnon- clinical areas,coordinatingwithappropriate managersto meet the changing needs of staff in the area.

  • Lead the delivery of defined workstreams within theprogramme, coordinating complex activities such asstakeholder engagement, trainingdelivery, and system implementation, ensuring agreed milestones and timelines are achieved.

  • Analysecomplex information relating to business processes, change management, user requirements, and system functionality,identifyingrisks and issues, associated with implementation and supporting the development of mitigating actions

  • Work alongside end users in their working environment,establishtheir current processes, develop supportmodelsand train users, highlighting benefits when implementing digital systems.

Communications

  • Maintaineffectivecommunicationwithalllevelsofstaff of system users.

  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus and overcome resistance to change, for example when supporting staff to adopt new digital systems and changes toestablishedworking practices.Communicate complex,sensitiveor contentious information to a wide range of stakeholders, adapting communication styles to overcome barriers to understanding.

  • Align protocols,procedures,and care pathways with digital applications within health & social care settings.Resolve end user queries relating to associated systems in clinical andnon-clinicalsettings.

  • Liaisewithandworkwithequivalentcolleaguesat other relevantorganisations, supportingusersacross multiple sites whereappropriate.

Management, Leadership

  • IdentifyneweLearningandtrainingrequirementsthroughengagement with stakeholders across NHSWales,customersand suppliers.

  • Usespecialistknowledgeandexperiencetoencourageeffectiveand consistent useofclinicaldigitalsystemsacross NHS Wales.

  • Ensurebusinessneedsaremetbysystems and processes by gathering requirements from stakeholders, assessing systemfunctionalityand supportingappropriate configurationand use

  • Use negotiating/influencing skills to balance conflictingpriotitesand requirements.

  • Coordinate and guide staff activities during change implementation, supporting adoption of new systems and ways of working, and contributing to training material development and evaluation.

ITSystemDevelopmentandDeployment

  • Undertakedeploymentofdigitalapplicationstocliniciansandotherstaffacross clinical and non-clinical settings.

  • Investigateand evaluate different approaches to implementing businesschange, for example, adapting delivery methods and training approaches based on user feedback and business requirements.

  • Takealeadroleininfluencingchangethroughbusinessprocessreviewswithusergroups,facilitatingdiscussions and supporting agreements on changes to working practices.

  • Record and promotebenefits following implementation of new systems and training approaches.

  • Actasakey link betweenprogrammeand system users, ensuring clear communication of requirements,feedbackand updates.

  • Influenceandcontributetoproceduresarounddigitalprocessesinclinicalandnon-clinicalsettings.

  • Analyse user feedback, data qualityoutputsand operational information toidentifytrends,issuesand opportunities for improving systems and processes.

  • Performperiodicreviewsofthetrainingenvironmentswithregardstosecurityandaccess requirements.

User Training

  • Promote best practicesinadult learning techniques, instructionaldesign,and learning objectivesettings.

  • UndertakeIT trainingneedsanalysisofendusers,where relevant,in ordertoensure training needs are met.

  • Developandagreebespoke,SMARTtrainingplanswithrelevantstakeholders.

  • Identifyweaknessesand specific needs andprovide targetassistanceto users whererequired.

  • Providesupporttouserswhenrequiredoutofnormalworkinghourstomeettheneedsofa24-hourserviceorganisationparticularly at Go Live periods.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact ofbusiness-changeactivity, using feedback and performance data toidentifyimprovements and adapt delivery accordingly.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential
  • Educated to degree level in a suitable field, including but not limited to Psychology, Business Administration, Health and Care, Technology delivery, or equivalent demonstrable experience or equivalent level of knowledge/skills.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Post graduate diploma qualification in change Management or programme management qualification e.g. Procsi Change Management Practitioner, APMG Change Management Practitioner or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in the technical development of eLearning, graphic design, and web content.

Experience

Essential
  • Business Change Experience
  • Experience of delivering IT or web training in the workplace
  • Experience of project implementation
  • Experience / understanding of NHS patient-based information, pathways and protocols
  • Experience of training to support business change
  • Experience of using computer systems to an advanced level
  • Experience of developing course material and other related documentation to support business change
  • Ability to work autonomously managing own workload
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery within the NHS
  • Competence in the use of desktop applications
