We are seeking an experienced IT & Telecoms Category Manager to lead a key procurement category within a large, complex organisation.
The role will own and deliver the category strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver commercial value, efficiencies, savings and innovative solutions across IT, software, infrastructure and telecommunications.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the IT & Telecoms category strategy.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and act as the category subject matter expert.
- Lead complex and high-value procurements, tenders, frameworks and Preferred Supplier Lists.
- Develop contracting and negotiation strategies and provide commercial and contractual advice.
- Identify and deliver cost savings, efficiencies and continuous improvement.
- Lead change and transformation initiatives across the category.
- Manage relationships with major Tier 1 software and technology suppliers.
- Promote innovation, sustainability and new ways of working.
About you:
- Significant senior-level procurement and commercial experience.
- Proven experience of IT, software, infrastructure and licensing procurement.
- Strong experience managing complex, large-scale procurements and contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Experience working within large, complex and decentralised organisations.
- Strong leadership and change-management capability.
- CIPS qualification/membership desirable.
