- Project Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive project execution delivery plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. Coordinate with stakeholders to establish project timelines, milestones, and budgetary constraints.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to project teams including, but not limited, Contractors, CSA / MEPF / SICT consultants, PMC & Cost consultants and any other specialist consultants, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and coordination of resources. Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment.
- Vendor Management: Identify, select, and manage vendors, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee procurement activities, contract negotiation, and compliance to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services.
- Project Execution: Monitor and control project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and address potential risks, issues, and changes that may impact project schedule or budget.
- Construction Management: Oversight on construction methodologies and related activities, sequencing of key activities and overall constructability.
- Quality and Safety Compliance: Implement, enforce and lead quality control processes and safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry / local standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Project Commissioning: Overseeing the management of the testing and commissioning process from FAT’s through to area handover certificates. Ensure Commissioning Strategy and Plan is in place and coordinated with operations team and ATP Process are in place for relevant witnessing sign off.
- Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, and other project-related records. Ensure proper document control management system in place for management of workflows, correspondence, archiving and retention of project documentation for future reference.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, senior management, internal teams, and external partners. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed.
- Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets with commercial team, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost control measures are in place. Monitor project financials, review contractor invoices, and address any budget deviations promptly.
- Change Management: Ensure all changes to be appropriately recorded on the change register, reviewed and approved through change control process. Assure that Project team follows the change control process including, but not limited to commercial, permit and design changes.
- Risk Management: Implement a risk management strategy that is followed regularly to identify and manage risks that could impact the project. This includes developing contingency plans and taking steps to mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings and efficiency improvements within the project management function. Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project delivery.
