Product Owner
I am seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a forward-thinking team based in Edinburgh, offering hybrid working and a salary of up to £60,000. You will work closely with cross-functional software engineering teams, playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering products aligned to the strategic roadmap while ensuring customer needs remain front and centre.
This role is ideal for a Product Owner who enjoys balancing commercial, customer, and technical priorities, and who can confidently guide delivery teams to produce high-quality, competitive SaaS products.
Key skills:
- Proven experience working as a Product Owner within a software development environment
- Experience working with products that include APIs and front-end components
- Background working with Software as a Service (SaaS) products
- Strong ability to balance customer needs, product strategy, and technical priorities
- A unique blend of business acumen and technical understanding
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to change
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand and exceed both internal and external expectations
Key tasks:
- Contribute to and help implement the overall product strategy and supporting commercial business cases
- Evaluate client requests, end-user insights, industry trends, and competitor capabilities to identify product enhancements
- Write clear features and user stories to deliver product strategy, enhancements, and customer requests
- Drive analysis and estimation activities within the software delivery team to support planning
- Manage and prioritise the product roadmap to ensure development efforts are focused on the right outcomes
- Work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the product
