Job Title: OpenShift Architect Location: Sheffield, UK (2-3 Days Onsite) Job Type: Contract Inside IR35 Role This is a hybrid architect/engineer role requiring deep, hands-on expertise across the OpenShift platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and embedding enterprise solutions and business processes on our new OpenShift platform. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to shape platform capabilities, enable application teams, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, architect, and implement enterprise-grade solutions on Red Hat OpenShift. Lead the development and rollout of business and technical processes on the OpenShift platform. Provide hands-on engineering support for platform build, configuration, and optimisation. Define platform standards, patterns, and best practices. Support application onboarding, containerisation, and migration to OpenShift. Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps pipelines. Implement security, governance, and compliance controls across the platform. Optimise platform performance, availability, and scalability. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and operations teams. Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues. Produce and maintain technical documentation and architecture artefacts. Required Skills: Experience Strong experience as an OpenShift Architect or Senior OpenShift Engineer. Deep knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) architecture, installation, and operations. Strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise. Experience designing and building enterprise container platforms. xkybehq Solid experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Tekton, Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab). Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Helm
