PingOne AIC Senior Developer

Locations: Edinburgh / Bristol / London

Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days per Week Onsite

Contract: Inside IR35

We are currently seeking an experienced PingOne AIC Senior Developer to join a high-profile programme delivering secure, scalable Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-grade identity systems, driving secure authentication, federation, and automation initiatives.

Role Overview

You will design, implement, and manage IAM solutions using PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud , ensuring robust integration across enterprise systems while maintaining security, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Setup & Deployment

• Install, configure, and deploy PingOne AIC (Cloud)
• Automate deployments and configurations using tools such as fr-config

Custom Workflows & Policies

• Develop custom authentication and authorisation workflows using Java, JavaScript, or Groovy
• Implement SSO, MFA, and federation using SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect

Directory & Integration Management

• Configure and integrate LDAP / Active Directory
• Build integrations for web, mobile, API, and SaaS applications using RESTful APIs

Essential Skills & Experience

IAM Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with PingOne AIC
• Deep understanding of SSO and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC)

Technical Proficiency

• Development experience in Java, JavaScript, and/or Groovy
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD
• Strong experience using Postman and automation of collections

System Integration & Automation

• Solid LDAP / Active Directory integration experience
• Automation-driven deployment and configuration practices

Operational & Monitoring

• IAM environment management (health checks, logging, patching)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Agile & Collaboration

• Experience working within Agile environments
• Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders

Desirable

• Familiarity with PingOne IG (Identity Governance)
• Knowledge of compliance, regulatory standards, and zero-trust frameworks

Experience Required

• 9+ years overall IT experience
• 3–5+ years hands-on IAM experience (PingOne AIC / ForgeRock preferred)
• Strong scripting/programming background
• Experience with Ansible / Terraform automation
