Job Title: Senior Java Developer – Livelink (OpenText) Implementation Specialist

Location: London, UK (Hybrid/On-site as required)

🧠 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in Livelink / OpenText Content Server implementation, integration, and customization. The ideal candidate will design, build, and support scalable enterprise solutions leveraging Java technologies and Livelink APIs for large-scale document/content management environments.

📘 Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of Livelink / OpenText Content Server solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based integrations between Livelink and internal/external enterprise systems.
• Create reusable components, frameworks, and integration patterns.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support development of REST/SOAP microservices for content access and workflow automation.

Architecture & Design

• Define solution architecture, integration approaches, and best practices.
• Evaluate feasibility and impact of new features and technologies.
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.

Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Livelink platform and Java application issues.
• Perform performance, tuning, and optimization of integrations.
• Provide guidance on content lifecycle and migration strategies.

Quality & Governance

• Apply CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Write unit and integration tests; support automated testing pipelines.
• Ensure documentation, compliance, and audit readiness for deployed solutions.

Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams: Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, UX, Project Managers.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer.

🧩 Required Skills & Experience

Technical

• Java (8+) development expertise.
• Strong experience with Livelink / OpenText Content Server :
• Customization using LAPI (Livelink API), Web Services, DFC, REST.
• Implementation in enterprise environments.
• Experience building integrations with systems such as ERP, CRM, workflow engines.
• Familiarity with:
• Spring/Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• XML/JSON
• SQL & NoSQL databases
• Web application frameworks (JSP/Servlets, JSF, or modern front end is a plus)

Tools & Platforms

• Version control (Git)
• Build tools (Maven/Gradle)
• CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Application Servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss)

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 3+ years experience implementing and supporting Livelink/OpenText Content Management solutions .
