Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – Juniper (LAN/WLAN)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper LAN and WLAN technologies , particularly Juniper EX/QFX switching and MIST wireless platforms . The role involves designing, troubleshooting, and operating enterprise networks while supporting vendor transformation initiatives from Cisco/Aruba to Juniper in complex hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

Juniper LAN (Switching)

• Design, configure, and maintain Juniper EX and QFX switching platforms .
• Implement and manage VLANs, EVPN/VXLAN architectures , and modern STP alternatives .
• Ensure scalable and resilient switching infrastructure across enterprise networks.

Juniper WLAN (MIST)

• Deploy and manage Juniper MIST cloud-managed wireless networks .
• Configure and support MIST Access Points and wireless network architecture.
• Utilize Marvis AI for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

MIST Edge & WAN Integration

• Support MIST Edge deployments including tunnel termination and branch connectivity.
• Integrate wireless infrastructure with WAN environments.
• Understand deployment models, operational limitations, and optimization approaches.

Low-Level Junos Troubleshooting

• Perform advanced troubleshooting using Junos logs, traceoptions, and packet flow analysis .
• Investigate forwarding issues, latency, packet drops, and CoS-related problems .
• Analyze packet journeys across the network to identify and resolve issues.

Cisco / Aruba to Juniper Transformation

• Support network transformation initiatives from Cisco or Aruba to Juniper infrastructure .
• Develop and execute migration strategies and phased coexistence plans .
• Evaluate feature parity, compatibility, and transition risks .

Hybrid Network Operations

• Operate and maintain multi-vendor network environments including Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba.
• Ensure stable network operations during vendor coexistence phases.

Juniper SRX (WAN – Light Touch)

• Perform basic configuration and operational tasks on Juniper SRX devices .
• Implement policy changes and routing updates while maintaining network stability.

Complex Environment Management

• Support large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments .
• Work within regulated or mission-critical networks requiring high uptime .
• Ensure reliability, compliance, and operational continuity in 24x7 environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience with Juniper EX and QFX switching platforms .
• Hands-on expertise with Juniper MIST WLAN and Marvis AI .
• Solid knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN architectures .
• Experience troubleshooting Junos-based networks at packet and forwarding levels .
• Proven experience working in hybrid network environments (Juniper + Cisco/Aruba) .
• Familiarity with Juniper SRX firewall basics and WAN integration.
• Experience handling enterprise-scale, multi-site network environments .
