IT Support Engineer – Contract Role (Chester, Stoke & Crewe Offices)
Location: Chester (Home Office), also supporting Stoke & Crewe
Duration: 6–12 Months
Rate: £120 Per Day (Gross)
Shift Patterns:
- 07:00 – 15:30
- 08:30 – 17:00
- 10:30 – 19:00
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a national support team providing high-quality technical assistance to employees across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service, resolve IT issues efficiently, and maintain strong technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support across Chester, Stoke, and Crewe office locations.
- Respond to support tickets raised via a centralized helpdesk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and escalate any non-compliance.
- Maintain and support Windows 10 Enterprise & Windows Server (Active Directory Services).
- Assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge and adjust communication accordingly.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 and related applications.
- Manage file access and permissions in WAN/LAN environments.
- Handle Audio/Visual setup and support for meetings.
- Work effectively within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working in a professional office or corporate environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Hands-on experience with:
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Active Directory & User Administration
- Office 365
- Virtualized environments
- WAN/LAN file management
- Networking & wireless technologies
- Audio/Visual systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
