Performance Test EngineerLocation: London or Leeds, UK (Hybrid)Type: PermanentSalary Band : Grade B2Role OverviewWe are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to drive performance assurance across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. You will design and execute performance, load, stress, and volume tests, identify bottlenecks, and work closely with development and architecture teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute performance testing strategies and test plans.

Perform load, stress, endurance, and volume testing.

Analyze test results and provide performance improvement recommendations.

Monitor applications using Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, and Dynatrace.

Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with developers and architects to resolve performance issues.

Required

Skills & ExperienceProven experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Eggplant Performance. Experience testing cloud-based applications (Azure, AWS, or GCP).Strong understanding of Performance Testing methodologies and NFRs.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Strong scripting skills in Python or JavaScript.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

SkillsKafka, IBM MQ, ELK Stack, Tableau.

GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git.

Experience embedding performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in testing.
