About the role:

The role will be to work on client projects as part of a team. It will involve a combination of AI development, data processing and data testing tasks using Sentinel’s own IT software, for which training will be given. The role would suit someone early in a career in data or AI who wants to combine real life experience with the learning process of an apprenticeship.

We want to bring people into our team who can start to learn about our solutions, how they work and how to configure them. We want to bring in people that will become our consultants of the future.

Responsibilities:

  • To work on our client projects and support our consultants who are implementing our solutions.
  • To test that the solutions work correctly with the client’s data, to make sure that the client’s data is being correctly cleansed and accurately merge together.
  • Help to analyse and reconcile data to make sure that every record can be accounted for.
  • Create and provide user guides for the client’s staff who will use the system, making sure that all the functionality we provide is clearly understood and described.
  • Supporting automation & process improvement, by learning design and maintenance of automation workflows that streamline day to day tasks.
  • Exploring AI in real business scenarios, by assisting in the development of AI-powered tools and systems. Ensuring AI is used responsibly and ethically to solve client’s real life pain points.
  • Learning and implementing the latest innovations in data, AI and machine learning to keep our clients at the leading edge of technology.

You will need the following skills:

  • Computer literacy to a good standing. Any elements of qualification or self-learning with the AI and ML environments or working experience with a data or AI setting would be seen as an advantage.
  • Having worked with, or had exposure to, Python would be advantageous.
  • Possess a logical and analytical mind.
  • Have some experience of working with data, such as spreadsheets or databases.
  • Have the right working attitude with a keen desire to learn and succeed.
  • Be detailed conscious and be willing to go that extra mile to make sure that the data and the processes being implemented are right.
  • Have high personal standards of work and want to be proud of what they deliver.
  • Be excited about a career as a Consultant within Sentinel Partners.

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.) 
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role) 

AND

  •  5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Based at home with some office based work required (central Birmingham).
