Cyber Technician Apprentice

About the role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Technician Apprentice to join our growing security team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in cyber security, gaining hands-on experience across a range of Managed Human Risk services.

In this role, you will support the delivery of key GRC-led services that help organisations reduce risk through improved security awareness, governance, and data protection practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of Phishing-as-a-Service campaigns, including simulation setup, reporting, and user engagement tracking

  • Assist with Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), helping assess supplier risk and maintain risk registers

  • Contribute to Managed Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services, including policy monitoring and reporting

  • Work within structured processes to ensure activities align with governance and compliance requirements

  • Produce reports and insights to support customer risk reduction and decision-making

What we’re looking for:

  • SC (Security Check) clearance

  • Strong interest in cyber security, risk, and compliance

  • Analytical mindset with good attention to detail

  • Clear communication skills and willingness to engage with customers and stakeholders

  • Desire to learn within a fast-paced, professional environment

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Future prospects: Should you perform well in this role, there is an opportunity for you to take up a permanent position at the end of your qualification. Many of our previous apprentices are still with the company. Your future salary will be discussed should you be offered a permanent role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
