Data Administrator Apprentice

Cascade Cars are a growing Special Educational Needs (SEN) transport provider, delivering safe, reliable and professional transport services for children and young people. About the role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build valuable skills in administration, customer service, data management and business operations while working towards a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship.

You will play an important role in supporting our day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing data, assisting with transport planning and providing professional support to customers and stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with information, has strong attention to detail and wants to develop a career in administration, data management or business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Input, update and maintain accurate records across company systems and databases.

  • Monitor data quality, ensuring information is complete, accurate and up to date.

  • Produce reports and spreadsheets to support operational decision-making.

  • Assist with data validation, cleansing and auditing activities.

  • Support the management of driver, passenger and transport records.

  • Support the coordination of daily transport schedules and route information.

  • Prepare, file, scan and organise digital and paper-based documentation.

  • Assist with onboarding and maintaining records for drivers and transport staff.

  • Act as a professional first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries.

  • Communicate effectively with schools, parents, drivers and local authorities.

  • Provide timely updates regarding transport arrangements and service changes.

Required skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organisational and time-management skills.

  • Confidence communicating by telephone, email and in person.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • A willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Reliable, punctual and dependable.

  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong team-working skills.

The following experience is desirable:

  • An interest in data, business administration or operational management.

  • Experience using spreadsheets, databases or business systems (although full training will be provided).

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).

  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with 45 minute lunch break.
