Overview:

We are seeking a sharp and analytical Data Analyst Apprentice to join us. You'll support our team with modelling, forecasting, and analysis as we grow and refine our operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in financial structuring and modelling, particularly in the context of litigation funding and insurance-related financial products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and refining financial models for business planning and investment analysis
  • Support scenario analysis and sensitivity testing across SPV and business unit performance
  • Help prepare monthly reports, financial forecasts and rolling budgets
  • Conduct market and benchmark research to support financial assumptions
  • Work in Excel and, where appropriate, tools such as Google Sheets, Power BI or Python for finance
  • Collaborate with legal and operations teams to understand cost drivers and funding models
  • Document models with clear assumptions and methodologies

Desirable skills:

  • Strong Excel skills, including formulae, lookups, pivot tables and charts
  • Experience with or interest in financial modelling, forecasting and valuation
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with modelling tools like Power BI, Python or financial modelling software like Quantrix or Planful
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment

Entry requirements:

Standard entry:

  • Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
  • OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

Plus:

  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above 
  • Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm
