As an IT Apprentice, you’ll play a key part in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of OracleBio’s IT systems. Working closely with experienced IT Support Technicians and Senior Managers, you’ll gain real-world exposure to technical support, systems administration, and IT operations across the organisation.

You’ll be supported, mentored, and encouraged to grow your technical skills while contributing meaningfully to the business from day one.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and professional first-line support to OracleBio staff for routine hardware, software, and access issues.
  • Escalate more complex technical, infrastructure, or security matters appropriately.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems under supervision.
  • Assist with setting up and configuring laptops, user accounts, and peripheral devices.
  • Support the maintenance of the company’s laptop estate, including updates and software installations.
  • Help manage image storage, file transfers, and data organisation in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor system alerts and backup processes, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain IT asset registers and equipment allocation records.
  • Support licensing documentation and compliance tracking.
  • Assist with documenting system changes and routine maintenance activities.
  • Help maintain accurate infrastructure records and operational logs.

Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 per annum.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
