Overview: 

We're on the lookout for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as an apprentice. This is your chance to kick-start a career in IT while gaining hands-on experience and in-demand skills through a Level 3 Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship. Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all IT enquiries, both via phone and the internal helpdesk system
  • Accurately logging all support calls into the helpdesk system, capturing relevant information and assigning appropriate priority levels
  • Proactively monitoring the helpdesk system for new tickets, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups for support or additional details
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, networking, and software
  • Keeping users informed by providing regular updates on the progress of their support requests
  • Ensuring all tickets are fully documented with resolution details before being closed
  • Recording key information on daily operational checklists to maintain service continuity and accountability

Required skills:

  • Demonstrate the ability to meet high customer service standards and follow expected turnaround times
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly via phone and email, with a clear and professional tone
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies (full training provided as needed)
  • Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to remain focused and efficient under pressure
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to multi-task effectively and thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to support extended hours and on-call duties when required

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

Working week: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours per day on a rota basis.
