Overview Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in IT? We’re looking for an IT Support Apprentice to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
As an IT Support Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in delivering technical support and assisting with IT projects.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing first-line technical support via phone, email and ticketing systems.
- Logging, updating and managing support tickets accurately.
- Troubleshooting common IT issues within agreed service levels.
- Configuring laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
- Installing software and ensuring devices remain secure and operational.
- Supporting Microsoft systems, hardware setups and documentation tasks.
- Occasionally attending customer sites alongside experienced engineers.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Knowledge of PC hardware (desirable).
- Understanding of Microsoft operating systems (desirable).
- UK driving license and access to your own car (desirable).
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
Non-standard entry with work experience Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be considered for applicants with potential to benefit from the programme.
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm.
