IT Support Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Apprentice to join our IT team and help support the systems and technology used across our UK business.

This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across IT support, cloud tools, networking, and automation, while working alongside experienced IT professionals. You will help ensure our systems run smoothly, support colleagues with technical queries, and contribute to improvements across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st line IT support via phone, email and ticketing systems
  • Set up new starters including hardware, user accounts and system access
  • Support and maintain servers, networks and IT infrastructure
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools including Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI
  • Help monitor system performance, reliability and cybersecurity measures
  • Deliver basic IT inductions and training for staff
  • Support IT projects and system improvements across the business
  • Assist with documentation, equipment procurement and IT asset management
  • Work with internal teams and external partners on technical initiatives

This role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and provides an excellent foundation for a career in IT support, cloud technology or systems administration.

What we’re looking for:

  • Interest in IT, networking or cloud technologies
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful approach to supporting colleagues
  • Basic understanding of IT systems or Microsoft tools (beneficial but not essential)
  • A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8am - 4pm plus 30 minute lunch break.
