IT Support Apprentice

About the role:

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Apprentice to support the delivery of IT services across the organisation. This role offers hands-on experience in end-user support, Microsoft 365, and IT service management within a structured, security-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support to end users, resolving day-to-day technical issues

  • Deliver support across Microsoft 365 tools and services

  • Work within an ITIL-aligned ITSM system to manage incidents and service requests

  • Support user lifecycle processes (onboarding, movers, leavers)

  • Maintain and manage IT assets, including device builds and tracking

  • Ensure accurate documentation and ticket updates within ITSM tools

What we’re looking for:

  • SC (Security Check) clearance

  • Strong interest in IT and problem-solving

  • Commitment to following best-practice security workflows and procedures

  • This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional, security-conscious IT environment

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Future prospects: Should you perform well in this role, there is an opportunity for you to take up a permanent position at the end of your qualification. Many of our previous apprentices are still with the company. Your future salary will be discussed should you be offered a permanent role.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
