IT Support Technician Apprentice

Guest Services Worldwide work directly with hotel clients to assist the concierge and hotel team. In addition, we help deliver a custom marketing message by creating a luxury-focused visitor guides highlighting hotels and their facilities.

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Technician Apprentice to join our IT team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification

You will support day-to-day IT operations, assist colleagues with technical issues, and help maintain secure and efficient systems across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems support.

Over the course of your apprenticeship you will develop in depth knowledge of:

  • IT fundamentals (hardware, software, operating systems)

  • Networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)

  • Cybersecurity fundamentals

  • ITIL service management principles

  • Cloud technologies (Microsoft 365 / Azure basics)

Responsibilities:

  • First-line technical support

  • Networking & infrastructure support

  • Cybersecurity & compliance

  • Hardware & software deployment

  • Documentation & continuous improvement

You will need the following skills:

  • Strong interest in IT and technology

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Basic understanding of computer systems

The following experience is desirable (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365

  • Basic networking knowledge

  • Prior work experience (even informal) in IT support

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
