Sales Data Administrator Apprentice

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Sales Data Administrator is to support the sales teams by ensuring that all operational aspects of the sales process run smoothly and efficiently.

This role acts as the backbone of the sales organisation by transacting sales throughout all elements of the quote to cash process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process quotes, proposals, and sales orders. Apply accurate and up-to-date customer and sales records in SharePoint, BC and other internal systems.

  • Complete the transactions within the end-to-end quote-to-cash process to a high degree of accuracy, including quote creation, order processing, and issue resolution.

  • Process and book customer orders accurately within the finance system.

  • Register services and manage supplier interactions via supplier portals, ensuring timely order confirmations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to expedite quote requests and customer orders.

  • Track quote requests, monitor progress, and ensure consistent follow-ups with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales data, and documentation within the CRM system.

  • Respond to partner and internal inquiries and provide relevant product or service information.

  • Manage internal escalations and work towards prompt resolution.

  • Ensure clear and timely communication of updates between teams and stakeholders.

Key strengths or requirement for the role:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, Business Central

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrates the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

37 hours, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
