Senior Business Analyst – Credit Research Technology (Fixed Income)

A globally-recognised investment management platform is looking to appoint a Senior Business Analyst into its Credit Research Technology function. This is a high-impact role, embedded directly within the investment and research environment, supporting credit analysts and portfolio managers with the tools, data, and analytical capabilities that drive investment decision-making.

This position sits at the intersection of Fixed Income, data, and technology, and will suit someone who is equally comfortable in front of senior investment stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the definition, documentation and delivery of business and system requirements across credit research and portfolio tooling
• Acting as a conduit between credit analysts, portfolio managers, quants and engineers to translate complex investment needs into scalable technical solutions
• Contributing to the enhancement of the credit data ecosystem, incorporating issuer fundamentals, credit models, ESG and alternative data
• Supporting the continued evolution of research platforms used directly by front office teams

Background & experience required:

• Good experience in a Business Analyst role within a buy-side Fixed Income environment
• Strong, demonstrable understanding of credit research workflows and investment processes
• Hands-on experience working with front-office stakeholders
• Advanced capability in:
• SQL (data interrogation / validation)
• AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Lambda)
• Python (analysis, prototyping, tooling support)
• Excellent documentation skills and experience owning requirements across the full SDLC

Highly desirable:

• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science
• Progress toward / completion of CFA
• Experience with tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI, Tableau or Power BI
• Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics in a financial context
