Job Title: Oracle Functional Consultant - Oracle Fusion HCM (UK)

Primary Modules: Global HR, Absence Management, OTL, Extracts, Reports and Integrations

Role Overview

As the Lead Functional Consultant, you will serve as the primary onsite expert responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation and optimization of Oracle Fusion HCM modules. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that requires a blend of deep technical expertise in technical configuration of modules with Fast Formulas, Extracts, Reports and Integrations, along with the strategic vision to guide clients through complex business transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. End-to-End Implementation: Lead at least three full-life cycle implementations of Oracle Core HR, Absence Management, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) and Extracts.
  2. Requirement Architecture: Design, document, and explain requirement templates; lead onsite workshops for requirement gathering, system design, and key user training.
  3. Technical Excellence: Hands-on authoring and debugging of Fast Formulas for complex OTL and Absence logic. Hands on experience of configuring Core HR, Absence, OTL module.
  4. Integration & Reporting: Design functional specifications for payroll extracts (Fusion to 3rd party providers), HCM Extracts, and custom reports.
  5. Strategic Advisory: Recommend "Out of the Box" AI features, quarterly upgrade enhancements, and industry best practices for taking key design decision, security roles, etc.
  6. Leadership: Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional growth within the project team.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Must have experience in stakeholder management and customer communication.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Experience: Proven track record of leading multiple Oracle Fusion HCM implementations.
  2. Module Expertise: Expert-level configuration knowledge of Global HR, Absence, OTL, designing reports, extracts.
  3. Integration Deep Dive: Practical experience with OTL integrations (punch-in/punch-out) and Third-Party Payroll/Benefit provider extracts.
  4. Documentation: Mastery of SDD (Solution Design Documents), Workbook configuration, and functional design specs.
  5. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and guide technical teams.
  6. Problem Solving: Advanced ability to write debug complex fast formula logics and suggest "housekeeping" reports for system health.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

  1. Oracle Certifications: Current certifications in Global HR, OTL, or Absence Management.
  2. Extended Module Knowledge: Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Help Desk, Benefits, or Talent Management.
  3. AI Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle's AI Agents and GenAI features within the HCM suite.
