B2B FinTech in Central London are looking for a Senior Django Developer to help design, build, and scale their web applications. You'll be part of a cross-functional product team responsible for the full development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, building high-quality, performant software used by some of the world's leading financial organisations.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and QA engineers, while mentoring others and driving best practices across the codebase.

What You'll Do:

• Write high-quality, testable web application code in Django
• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework
• Design, optimise, and troubleshoot for performance and scalability
• Apply secure development practices and standards
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions
• Work in an agile environment alongside product and engineering teams
• Support and mentor fellow developers while leading by example

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python (3+) and Django
• Strong understanding of Django ORM and REST Framework
• Experience developing and consuming APIs
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React experience a plus)
• Experience with Celery or event-driven architecture
• Strong Git workflow and testing practices
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment
• Passion for creating secure, scalable, and user-centric applications

Desirable Extras:

• Experience with Docker and containerised applications
• CI/CD knowledge (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and security compliance
