Murex Support Consultant (Fixed-Term Contract)

Quanteam UK is currently supporting a key client within the Financial Markets space in hiring a Murex Support Consultant on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level professional (4–8 years’ experience) to join a dynamic environment and work on critical Murex platforms within a commodities-focused business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support on the Murex platform within a Financial Markets environment
• Analyse and resolve issues related to trade booking, pricing, and risk
• Support the setup of new products and booking models in Murex
• Work closely with Front Office, Risk, and IT teams to ensure platform stability
• Contribute to both interim fixes and longer-term strategic solutions
• Assist in system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4–8 years of experience within Financial Markets (Commodities experience is a strong plus)
• Strong understanding of derivatives and financial instruments (listed & OTC)
• Proven experience working with Murex in a Support role

Solid knowledge of:

• Murex architecture
• Booking models and product setup
• Curve setup and static data configuration (MXG)
• Risk and valuation frameworks
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to commodities trading environments
• Experience working in hybrid Front-to-Back Office setups
