Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support the development and optimisation of cloud-based data pipelines and analytics platforms. This role focuses on building scalable data solutions using Azure technologies, Snowflake, and Databricks. As a Data Engineer, you will develop and maintain Azure-based data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources and ensuring reliable data processing. You will work with ADF, Databricks, Snowflake, and Python to build scalable and efficient data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines
- Develop data ingestion and transformation workflows
- Work with Snowflake and Databricks data platforms
- Write and optimise SQL queries and data models
- Develop data processing logic using Python
- Debug and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
- Ensure data quality and reliability across pipelines
- Integrate multiple data sources into Azure environment
- Support analytics and reporting data requirements
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Azure Data Engineer experience
- Expert-level Azure Data Factory (ADF) knowledge
- Experience with Snowflake data platform
- Databricks experience
- Strong SQL skills
- Python for data engineering
- Data pipeline debugging and optimisation
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Good communication skills
- Hands-on delivery experience
Desirable Experience
- 6–8 years Data Engineering experience
- Azure cloud data platform architecture exposure
- Performance tuning and optimisation experience
- Experience working in enterprise environments
