New Exciting Opportunity Desktop Support Engineer (SC Cleared)

Duration: Contract (6 Months+)

Location: Leiston, United Kingdom (100% Onsite role)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Role Overview:

The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality, onsite technical support to end users across multiple customer sites in and around Leiston. The role ensures smooth operation of IT systems by diagnosing and resolving issues quickly, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

This is a hands-on, user-facing role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 environments.
  • Experience installing and configuring Starlink satellite devices (desirable).
  • Good knowledge of Azure AD (Joiner/Leaver/Mover processes).
  • Experience with Teams admin portal and team creation.
  • L1 support for applications, Office 365, and SharePoint .
  • Understanding of Intune and virtualization environments.
  • Knowledge of conference room systems and cloud printing.
  • Experience in Microsoft Managed Desktop environments.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
  • Experience in asset inventory and equipment lifecycle management.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

  • Working Conditions:
  • Travel required between customer sites (vehicle available for onsite movement).
  • Shift-based working: 7am–4pm, 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, 10am–7pm
