Migration Solution Consultant – Wealth Management Platform Transformation

Location: Edinburgh (hybrid / onsite attendance according to business need)

Contract Length: 6 months initially

Day Rate: £600 per day (inside IR35)

Our client is seeking an experienced Migration Solution Consultant with a strong understanding of wealth and investment operations, to lead complex migration journeys for top-tier financial institutions and drive successful platform implementations that shape the future of wealth management.

The postholder will lead clients through the end-to-end migration process, translating business requirements into actionable migration solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Wealth Management clients through platform migration and implementation.
• Assess business impact, regulatory considerations, and operational readiness.
• Develop bespoke migration and business requirements based on client needs.
• Guide customers through change, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
• Act as subject matter expert on platform Target Operating Models and migration best practices.
• Support and mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement.
• Provide quality assurance of documentation and lead knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Advise clients on compliance, reconciliation, and platform integration strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in consulting, solution design or business analysis within financial services.
• Deep understanding of platform migrations within Wealth Management or Life & Pensions.
• Proven ability to assess and document business and technical requirements.
• Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
• Knowledge of UK regulatory environment and compliance best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.

Desirable:

• Experience defining Target Operating Models.
• Prior involvement in platform implementation programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory change cycles in financial services.
