Project Manager – NHS Digital Transformation / PAS Implementation

💰 £350-£370/day (Inside IR35) |📍 London, UK (1/2 days onsite per week depending on project needs)

Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major NHS digital transformation programme focused on PAS (Patient Administration System) and EPR implementation initiatives. This role will play a key part in delivering clinical digital systems across complex healthcare environments, driving operational improvements, stakeholder engagement, and successful adoption of digital healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead programme delivery teams across NHS digital transformation initiatives
  • Manage PAS and EPR implementation activities across clinical and operational workstreams
  • Support theatre modules, outpatient clinical systems, patient engagement, and medical device integrations
  • Drive benefits realisation and organisational change management activities
  • Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, and “As-Is” to “To-Be” transformation planning
  • Oversee integrations and collaborate with PAS and technical teams
  • Manage project governance, RAID logs, timelines, and stakeholder reporting
  • Facilitate workshops, user engagement sessions, and testing activities
  • Support technical and user testing, including creation of test scripts
  • Ensure alignment with NHS standards including clinical safety, cyber security, accessibility, and compliance frameworks

Required Experience

  • Strong Project Management experience within NHS digital transformation programmes
  • Hands-on experience with PAS (Patient Administration Systems) implementations
  • Good understanding of EPR implementation programmes and clinical workflows
  • Experience managing healthcare change and transformation initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with process redesign and workflow optimisation
  • Ability to manage complex integrations and cross-functional delivery teams
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2 methodologies and structured delivery governance
  • Experience working in fast-paced healthcare environments with multiple stakeholders

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with theatre modules, outpatient systems, or patient engagement platforms
  • Knowledge of NHS operational structures and governance
  • Experience with medical device integrations
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio and project management tools
