Our client, a leading organisation within the banking and payments sector, is seeking an experienced BASE24-eps Tester to support large-scale payment platform modernisation and migration initiatives.

This is a senior-level role focused on end-to-end testing across complex payment switch environments, with particular emphasis on evolving and modernising the BASE24-eps platform. The role requires deep technical expertise across payment transaction flows, BASE24-eps configuration, HP NonStop Tandem environments, and payment security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing activities across the BASE24-eps platform
• Analyse customer requirements and prepare detailed test plans and execution strategies
• Perform System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT), regression, verification, validation, and performance testing
• Develop test scripts from scratch for BASE24 functionality and transaction flows
• Prepare and walkthrough TPOR documentation and manage defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams across delivery and support functions
• Support migration initiatives involving BASE24-classic to BASE24-eps transformation
• Ensure compliance with payment industry standards and regulatory requirements including ISO8583 and PSD2
• Monitor transaction processing, trace logs, and audit activities within payment environments

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with BASE24-eps configurations and transaction processing flows
• Experience working on large-scale payment switch systems covering ATM, POS, and SWITCH environments
• Deep understanding of:
• ISO8583 messaging (VISA/LINK)
• Journals, TDEs, Tokens, STM/PSTM
• BASE24-eps layers, Integrated Server, SAF/Context Manager, and database tables
• Strong experience within HP NonStop / Tandem environments
• Hands-on experience with tools/utilities including:
• PATHWAY
• ENFORM
• PERUSE
• BATCHCOM
• TACL
• Enscribe
• XPNET / NCPCOM
• Experience in ST/SIT, regression testing, validation, and defect management
• Strong understanding of BASE24-eps configurations including:
• Message Delivery
• Router
• Authorization
• HISO/BICI
• Acquirer/Issuer configuration
• Process Control
• Knowledge of web services configuration and controls
• Experience with TSS and ACI Desktop
• Solid understanding of HSM integration, PIN block formats, cryptography, and payment security
• Hands-on experience with PCI DSS, EMV, tokenisation, and 3-D Secure standards

Desirable Experience

• Strong delivery ownership and ability to operate within high-visibility programmes
• Experience working within complex regulated financial services environments
• Prior involvement in BASE24-classic to BASE24-eps migration programmes
• Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
