Junior ESG Reporting Analyst

Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a Junior ESG Reporting Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the company's environmental reporting and sustainability data capabilities. You will be responsible for collecting, validating and analysing sustainability data across a range of key environmental areas while supporting a growing Sustainability team.

Our client is a leading international business operating across retail, eCommerce and financial services, delivering products to customers through multiple channels.

The Role

As the Junior ESG Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Lead the collection, validation and management of environmental data across carbon emissions, product sustainability, packaging, waste, recycling and batteries, ensuring robust data governance and accuracy.
  • Manage regulatory reporting and compliance for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Plastic Packaging Tax, maintaining accurate records and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate the annual carbon reporting process, including emissions data collection, carbon calculations, external audits and identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions.
  • Analyse waste and recycling performance across the business, providing insights and recommendations to improve environmental performance and operational efficiency.
  • Develop sustainability dashboards, reports and performance metrics to support ESG reporting, regulatory compliance and strategic business decision-making.

To be successful in this role Junior ESG Reporting Analyst role you will have:

  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
  • Experience or a genuine interest in ESG and sustainability (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience using SQL and Power BI for data analysis and visualisation.
  • Confidence collaborating with internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a highly analytical mindset, with the ability to produce accurate, business-focused insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
