AI Data Annotator - Complex Reasoning

Role Overview:
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role is focused on improving the AI model's ability to perform high-level logical deduction and multi-step problem solving. You will assess and refine the "chain of thought" processes within the model, designing prompts that require rigorous logic and editing responses to ensure valid reasoning, factual consistency, and precise adherence to complex constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct intricate prompts that test the model's ability to handle logic puzzles, multi-step deductions, and complex instruction sets (e.g., "If X is true, but Y is false, what implies Z?").
• Evaluate AI-generated responses not just for the correct answer, but for the validity of the reasoning steps used to get there (Chain-of-Thought verification).
• Identify and correct logical fallacies, contradictions, or skipped steps in the AI's reasoning process.
• Collaborate on guidelines for handling ambiguity and "edge cases" where the AI must make a decision based on incomplete information.
• Rewrite prompts and responses to eliminate potential "shortcuts" the AI might take, forcing it to demonstrate robust critical thinking.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience or background in fields requiring strong logic, such as Philosophy (Logic), Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analysis, or Law.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to break down complex problems into constituent parts.
• High proficiency in English with an ability to spot subtle ambiguities in phrasing that could lead to logical errors.
• Meticulous attention to detail, specifically in tracking variables and conditions through a long text.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Rate:
  Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
• Flexibility:
  100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
