Content Specialist - English Writing (Remote)

Role Overview: We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role is designed for individuals with a deep appreciation for the mechanics and art of the English language. You will focus on elevating the quality of AI-generated text by ensuring it is grammatically flawless, stylistically consistent, and pleasant to read.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze AI responses for syntactic complexity, sentence variety, and natural flow, correcting instances of repetitive or robotic phrasing.
• Rewrite and polish content across various formats—from casual dialogue to formal business reports—to demonstrate superior English usage.
• Evaluate the model's adherence to standard English conventions (spelling, punctuation, capitalization) as well as specific style guides.
• Create high-quality, original writing samples to teach the AI how to handle nuance, idiom, and cultural context effectively.
• Classify errors by type (e.g., awkward phrasing, tense disagreement, run-on sentences) to help developers target specific linguistic weaknesses.

Qualifications:

• Strong professional background in English writing, editing, communications, or linguistics.
• Expert command of English grammar, syntax, and vocabulary; you should be able to explain why a sentence sounds wrong.
• Experience adhering to and applying strict editorial guidelines or style manuals (e.g., AP, Chicago, or internal company guides).
• Ability to write in multiple tones and voices, adapting your style to match specific project requirements.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
• Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
