Junior Application Support Analyst

· Manage and resolve incident tickets assigned by the support desk to the Software support team
· Provide regular updates to users and end-to-end ownership of assigned incidents through to closure
· Provide support for major incidents providing root cause analysis
· Contribute to system improvements by reviewing current practices and helping to suggest modifications
· Help with the testing and documentation of new software and processes
· Assist in recommending controls by identifying issues and helping to write basic improved procedures
· Maintain and update system configuration documentation as directed
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong documentation skills
Ability to work with all areas of the business and communicate at all levels
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Desirable Experience:
Some formal IT Service Desk knowledge and skills
Ideally will have worked in a retail environment
Ideally have experience of supporting one of following areas: EPOS, Customer Order Management, Warehousing, financial and ERP
