Your New Role

Our client is a growing and forward-thinking AV solutions provider, seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join their Operations team. Working alongside Senior Engineers and Project Managers, you will play a key role in delivering high-end audio-visual installations across corporate, education, and retail environments. This role offers a hands-on mix of first and second fix installations, system integration, and on-site problem solving. You will work from schematics, site drawings, and projector plans to install and configure video walls, digital signage, conferencing systems, and control systems to the highest standard. Using your mechanical and wiring expertise, you will carry out soldering, crimping, terminating, and hardware fixing, ensuring systems are fully prepared for commissioning and handover. You will also conduct site surveys, troubleshoot installation issues, support system testing via laptop configuration, and maintain detailed documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and future reference. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with internal teams and occasionally provide client support and basic training on system use.

Ensuring Your Success

To succeed in this role, you will have at least five years’ experience within the AV installation industry, with a strong understanding of first and second fix installations and production wiring methods. You will be confident working from schematics, terminating sheets, and site plans, with solid mechanical skills and a strong eye for detail. Experience with control systems such as Extron, Crestron, or QSC is essential, alongside familiarity with video wall technologies (e.g. Absen, Samsung, NEC) and video conferencing systems. A proactive and professional approach is required, with the ability to work independently, solve problems on site, and maintain high productivity standards. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential due to the site-based nature of the role. A CTS qualification would be advantageous but is not mandatory.

In Return

In return, you will join a dynamic and expanding organisation with a clear vision for growth and innovation within the AV industry. You will receive a competitive salary of £30,000–£40,000 (dependent on experience), with overtime opportunities available due to the nature of the work. Additional benefits include 28 days annual leave, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work scheme, volunteering leave, a benefits discount platform, and a Health Cash Plan. You will become part of a collaborative team where your skills and contribution are genuinely valued.
