Location: Remote (Bristol)
Day Rate: £500 - £540
Contract Length: 6 Months
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Security Consultant to act as the focal point for project security across key defence programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for project security matters.
- Manage and maintain project security risks and risk registers.
- Produce and maintain Security Management Plans, security artefacts and assurance evidence.
- Support security audits, compliance activities, gate reviews and security cases.
- Provide security reporting, dashboards, KPIs and governance updates to senior stakeholders.
- Work with project, engineering, procurement and security teams to ensure security requirements are implemented effectively.
Requirements
- Experience in Project Security, Security Assurance, Information Assurance or Cyber Security Governance.
- Strong cyber security understanding and the ability to ensure systems are cyber secure by design.
- Experience managing security risks, risk registers and assurance activities.
- Experience producing security documentation such as: Security Management Plans (SMPs), Risk Registers, RMADS, Security Cases, Assurance evidence packs
- Experience supporting audits, compliance and governance reviews.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and secure systems.
- Knowledge of ISO27001 and risk management best practices.
Desirable
- Defence, Aerospace or Government experience.
