AI Automation Engineer - Microsoft Copilot & Power Platform
We are seeking experienced AI Automation Engineers to join a newly established Intelligent Automation & Process Engineering function within a large-scale organisation undergoing significant digital transformation.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with strong experience in Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Agents, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages and AI-driven automation to help shape the future of enterprise automation.
The successful candidates will design, develop and implement intelligent automation solutions that improve business performance, increase operational efficiency and drive innovation through the adoption of AI-powered technologies.
We are particularly interested in candidates with 2-5+ years of hands-on automation engineering experience, ideally gained within enterprise environments, large organisations, FTSE businesses, utilities, financial services, telecommunications, logistics, manufacturing or other complex operational settings.
Key Responsibilities for the AI Automation Engineer:
- Design, build and deploy AI-powered automation solutions across the business.
- Develop workflows and automations using Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop).
- Create low-code applications using Power Apps and digital solutions using Power Pages.
- Build and configure Microsoft Copilot Agents and AI-enabled business solutions.
- Deliver secure, scalable and maintainable automation solutions.
- Integrate systems, applications and data sources using APIs and Power Platform capabilities.
- Identify automation opportunities and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support governance, compliance and platform best practices.
- Participate in solution design, testing, deployment and support activities.
- Produce technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth and maturity of the Intelligent Automation function.

Microsoft Automation & AI Technologies
- Strong hands-on experience developing automation solutions within Microsoft 365 (M365) environments.
- Proven experience with:

- Power Automate Cloud
- Power Automate Desktop
- Power Apps
- Power Pages
- Experience designing and delivering intelligent workflows, automations and business applications.
- Understanding of AI-assisted business process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Power Platform Development
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade low-code solutions.
- Ability to build scalable, reusable and supportable automation components.
Security & Governance
- Understanding of:

- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Identity & Access Management

Engineering & Delivery
