We are now seeking a talented Nutanix Engineer to join our Infrastructure team and help drive innovation and resilience across our IT estate. As the Nutanix Engineer you will be responsible for building a new Nutanix platform, including capacity management and applications management.

Role Overview:
As a Nutanix Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our core systems, supporting both enterprise and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Nutanix HCI platforms (AHV, Prism, Calm, etc.).
• Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and reliability.
• Provide 3rd line support and troubleshooting for Nutanix-related issues.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Manage upgrades, patching, and life cycle of Nutanix clusters.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Nutanix technologies (AHV, Prism Central, AOS).
• Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or AHV).
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup, and replication strategies.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in a utilities or regulated industry.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Nutanix certifications (eg, NCP, NCAP).
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
