AWS DevOps Engineer with Python Development

Our client is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer with experience in Python Application Development to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 6 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position would require 3 days a week on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote for the duration.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitLab CI.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven experience implementing GitOps principles and tools, with direct experience in ArgoCD.
• Proficient in Python to: Design and develop in Python, using libraries such as Pandas to parse, transform, normalize, and manage complex datasets. Panda or Polars or similar okay

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• Knowledge of the build and deployment processes for .NET and React applications.
• Familiarity with security best practices (DevSecOps).
