Backend Engineer (4-6 Years Experience)

Must have Active SC Clearance

Rate: £315 per day

Profile

• Demonstrated delivery of backend services at scale using JavaScript, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven integrations on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization (primarily with Docker).
• Proven ability to embed security, observability, and automation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Solid track record of CI/CD discipline and Git best practices.

Skills

• Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript, Spring Boot.
• APIs & Microservices: RESTful API design, API management, microservices architecture; EKS (Kubernetes) and containerization with Docker.
• Integration: Backend layers, event-driven architecture using Kafka; NoSQL databases (MongoDB/DocumentDB).
• Security: IDAM/IdP, Single Sign-On (SSO), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), SSL/TLS, Key Management Service (KMS), Graph API.
• Cloud Operability: AWS telemetry, logging, and performance monitoring.
• Tooling & Delivery: Jira, Confluence, GitHub; CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.

Desirable Skills

• Caching & Session Management: Redis; session handling via Kong.
• Networking: VPC and VPN for secure connectivity.
• Real-Time Communication: SignalR or equivalent for push and real-time features.
