SAP HCM Payroll Consultant

SAP HCM Payroll UK Consultant - Long term contract - 4 days remote - 1 day travel expensed to London, or Midlands.

Key Responsibilities.

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP HCM modules with a primary focus on UK Payroll.
• Manage end-to-end payroll cycles, including schema, PCR configuration, RT, and payroll control processes.
• Ensure alignment with all UK statutory requirements such as HMRC, RTI, FPS, EPS, Tax, NI, Pensions, Court Orders, and Year-End activities.
• Handle support tickets, issue resolution, and enhancements as part of daily operations.
• Participate in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and testing (Unit, SIT, UAT).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR teams, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and work closely with ABAP developers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of SAP HCM experience, with at least 5+ years specific to UK Payroll.
• Strong expertise in Payroll Schemas, PCRs, Wage Types, RT tables, and payroll processes.
• Hands-on experience in UK year-end activities and statutory reporting.
• Good understanding of Time Evaluation, Absence/Attendance configuration (advantageous).
• Ability to analyze complex payroll issues and provide effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments preferred.
