One of my Top Government Clients is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to provide architectural leadership across digital services. You will guide technical strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned to modern engineering and cloud standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape and maintain architectural roadmaps across multiple digital services.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Produce architectural artefacts including diagrams, integrations, and future-state designs.
• Evaluate technology options across cloud, data, security, and infrastructure.
• Ensure services are robust, secure, maintainable, and cloud-ready.
• Provide technical oversight, mentoring, and leadership within delivery teams.

Key Experience:

• 5+ years as a Solution or Technical Architect in complex digital or enterprise environments.
• Strong software engineering foundation with expertise in modern application architectures (microservices, APIs, distributed systems).
• Proficiency in architectural modelling techniques (C4, UML, data flow diagrams).
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (preferably AWS), including Infrastructure as Code, networking, and security.
• Deep understanding of secure system design, authentication patterns, and observability.
• Familiarity with languages such as Ruby, Python, or Java, and modern practices (CI/CD, TDD, containerisation).
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, API design, and integration patterns.
