Location: Cambridge (on-site, in-person role)

Salary: £45,000 – £75,000 benefits (depending on academic background, consultancy experience, and years of experience)

Requirements for Strategy & Operations Associate

  • A degree in Chemistry or a closely related STEM discipline from a leading university
  • Ideally any experience of working in a top-tier management consultancy
  • A keen interest in innovation, start-ups, and scientific problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Cambridge for an in-person role

Responsibilities for Strategy & Operations Associate

  • Work closely with the founders to develop and execute company strategy
  • Support product development initiatives through market research and competitor analysis
  • Lead and manage various operational projects critical to scaling the company
  • Write and manage grant applications and funding proposals
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, including digital content creation and campaign analytics
  • Act as a key liaison between different departments, ensuring smooth operations and alignment on business goals
  • Support investor relations with pitch deck preparation and reporting metrics
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client and partner engagement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise company operations
