Engineering Manager - Data Centre
Location: Croydon
Salary: 79,000 + 5,000 Car Allowance + 3-4% Bonus + Overtime + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the operational delivery of a business-critical data centre environment. You'll manage a team of engineers, subcontractors, and maintenance activities to ensure uptime, safety, and compliance across the site. This role is Monday-Friday and includes overtime at this level, which is rare in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, schedule, and support a team of 10 engineers across planned and reactive tasks.
• Review and approve RAMS, permits, work packs, and switching schedules.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation (CMMS, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Logbooks, iAuditor).
• Oversee shift cover, annual leave scheduling, PDPs, and performance reviews.
• Control critical spares, asset registers, and maintenance records.
• Attend weekly client reviews and internal operational meetings.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience leading engineering teams in data centre or critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical & mechanical building services systems.
• Confident with RAMS, permits, CMMS, incident response, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards.
