Data Centre Manager
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of a critical data centre facility on a 3-month contract basis. This role involves managing a team of 3 engineers, with a strong focus on ensuring the smooth operation of essential infrastructure, particularly the cooling systems. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 3 engineers stationed on-site at the data centre.
Serve as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment with operational requirements.
Oversee and maintain critical infrastructure, with a focus on the cooling plant to ensure optimal performance.
Work closely with subcontractors for specialised tasks and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data centre operations.
Monitor and manage any issues related to power, cooling, and backup systems, providing prompt solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience working in a data centre environment, with a strong focus on cooling systems.
Experience managing a team and liaising with clients to meet operational goals.
Ability to work effectively with subcontractors and external service providers.
Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage critical infrastructure with a focus on maintaining uptime and preventing disruptions.
